With much disappointment, I have realized that I am not invited to this year’s HCTP Annual Interdisicplinary Workshop titled “Human bodies, health care technologies and places: 21st Centry practices and scholarship” held on April 14-15, 2005. Last year’s event was such a treat to attend. I really enjoyed the interaction between the different perspectives and approaches of the different disciplines. It really is a shame that only a select few get to attend this event.
I’m finding it curious that HCTP is really focusing on the “body” this year and last. I suppose that the body is the ultimate *place* where health care interactions and interventions take place. So, I guess that’s as good as any other place to focus the discussion.
